Your Invitation to Explore...
I’ve been asked to share a few examples of how the Designer Color Palettes™ program works.
Whether you are a designer, architect, color consultant, or the property owner you can now see for yourself how your own home or commercial building will look with new colors…Before you buy any paint at all.
You can also enjoy this service even if you have already selected your own colors and just want to see how it will look, to confirm your choices.
Simple to complex, we make it possible!
Collaboration is Key!
Our projects undergo a detailed process with five to 20 iterations. This can involve minor adjustments like body color changes or architectural details.
It’s a collaborative and customized journey where communication is essential. We focus on the details to ensure the most accurate results.
Avoid Frustration - Enjoy the Process
Think about it – Selecting colors is personal!
You love the new body color but want to see it with a variation in different trim or other ‘accent’ colors. That’s a whole new look, and you can see it with DCP™.
How many times have you agonized over color selections? Even for a smaller building, the exterior projects are big ones!
Whether the client is “local” or “Long-Distance,” I really love this process, and clients do, also. From simple style to a lot of detail; from cottage to castle…Each project enjoys the same process and level of attention.

New Color Design for a Victorian Home in Indiana
It’s always interesting to compare the digital visions of new colors on the original photos with the actual photos of final color applied. One aspect of this home is the architectural detail you can see, like the inlay millwork, finials, and other details.
I don’t promise exact replicas, considering the usual digital vs actual, but I—and clients—am always happy to see results like this! It’s not the first or only time for such results.
Three Variations of Color for a Unique Cottage
These three color schemes illustrate how color can make a big difference in communicating “personality and style,” while enhancing the unique details in this small home.
I only did 3 versions for this charming home, but could have done many more with this creative, communicative process.
New Possibilities for a "Transitional Colonial" House
Shown here are some examples of the types of changes a client can see, just using one photo view of their home. At right is the original color. They were happy to explore various blues, also.
It’s possible to define as many details as you want to see. No need to just use three (as typical for Body, Trim, Accent), for example.
Simple to complex; collaborative and inspirational.
Large Co-Housing Condo Buildings in Cambridge, MA
The group of condo owners asked for two very different color schemes, one of which being similar, but not identical, to what they already had.
For this large project I worked with one point person and his committe of 8.

A Large House in PA with Many Versions of New Colors
Beginning with the image at left, the owners asked to see many versions of similar style color combinations on their journey of arriving at their final color selections.
Can you spot some of the subtle differences? How else would you be able to experience this without applying any actual paint?
I always recommend testing the physical paint products prior to committing to having the work done, and I am happy to share tips on ‘best practices’ for testing paint color in the specific situation.
A detailed letter from this family is below the photos.
Dear Barbara,
I wanted to write you a detailed note that I hope you can use, to share with others.
We can not thank you enough for the your excellent work in selecting the exterior paint colors for our home. For the last two years, we have avoided painting the house due to the difficult task of picking the right colors and determining where to place the various colors.
Engaging your services was priceless and the digital renderings that you call DCP/Designer Color Palettes are absolutely worth the investment. We loved seeing what the house would look like before it was even painted. Especially relevant is that our painter has used the image as his own blueprint for painting the house. It truly is a must-have, and the end product looks practically just like the digital image. It certainly put a complete end to the debate over colors that we have had as a couple!
I also cannot thank you enough for the ongoing support and recommendations you shared throughout the painting process as we made some tweaks to address the nuances of a 130 year old Queen Anne Victorian home with many additional structures (additions to the main house, carport, garage, and treehouse) to consider in the complete design.
We are the talk of the town (in the best possible way!) thanks to your guidance on paint colors and placement. I recommend this process and working with you to bring the project to life.
Most noteworthy, to quote my hubby who is very difficult to win over, “Well, I have to admit, hiring her was the right call. I’m actually enjoying this process.”
P.S. The boys LOVE the tree house paint colors.
Many Thanks,
—The White Family
