Why Did I Call This Blog Integral ColorViews?

My philosophy is that color is Integral to every facet of our lives. As a ‘blog’ typically represents a viewpoint, the title with topics of Art, Color + Design seemed obvious.

Color—as a subject for discussion and also as an experience—is fun, exhilarating, fanciful, and practical. And…it’s always interesting.

But, color use has serious aspects. As an artist and colorist, I also look forward to sharing a wide range of tips, books, and color-and-design related subjects with you. I’m also personally inviting you to share your own color inspirations! Remember, it’s not limited—you can include your suggestions for topics of Art, Color + Design also.

Some of the subjects I’ll be writing about are tips for color in your home, the experience of creating art, and color trends. Have you ever thought about what goes into the color decisions we make? That’s another fascinating topic. Also, I love to feature profiles of other artists and artisans. In addition, we’ll explore Tips for selecting colors “DIY” color tips, color in commercial interiors, exterior color…and much more.
