Why Did I Call This Blog Integral ColorViews?
My philosophy is that color is Integral to every facet of our lives. As a ‘blog’ typically represents a viewpoint, the title with topics of Art, Color + Design seemed obvious.
Color—as a subject for discussion and also as an experience—is fun, exhilarating, fanciful, and practical. And…it’s always interesting.
But, color use has serious aspects. As an artist and colorist, I also look forward to sharing a wide range of tips, books, and color-and-design related subjects with you. I’m also personally inviting you to share your own color inspirations! Remember, it’s not limited—you can include your suggestions for topics of Art, Color + Design also.
Some of the subjects I’ll be writing about are tips for color in your home, how you can work with a color consultant, and color trends. Have you ever thought about what goes into the color decisions we make? That’s another fascinating topic. Also, I love to feature profiles of other artists and artisans. In addition, we’ll explore the experience of creating art, “DIY” color tips, color in commercial interiors, exterior color…and much more.
