Designer Color Palettes

Our Unique Service

DCP™  is A New Way to See Your Home or Commercial Building Before it’s Painted.

Your Invitation to Explore...

I’ve been asked to share a few examples of how the Designer Color Palettes™ program works.

Whether you are a designer, architect, color consultant, or the property owner you can now see for yourself how your own home or  commercial building will look with new colors…Before you buy any paint at all.

You can also enjoy this service even if you have already selected your own colors and just want to see how it will look, to confirm your choices.

Simple to complex, we make it possible!

Collaboration is Key

Most of these projects go through an extensive process that can include anywhere from five to 20 interations.

This can include changing up a body color or two, to even making a small color change on any section of a building, including architectural details.

It’s not a generic “plug-and-play automation,” but the process is collaborative and customized. Communication is an important part of it.

To give you the most accurate rendition possible, addressing the details is a specialty.

A Few Unique Features of Designer Color Palettes (DCP™)

  • We call it “DCP” for short!
  • Use the colors you select, or ask for my help or simply feedback on your choices
  • You’ll receive your color views in .pdf or .jpg with your final colors noted for each area.
  • Use the best images you take of your preferred views of the project
  • Do you have some awkward looking areas? We can even make some visual improvements and photo corrections to unavoidable nuisances like
        • Make some minor “repairs” on buildings
        • Remove some trees
        • Remove cars
        • Remove some other unsightly elements that interfere with your best view.

New Color Design for a Victorian Home in Indiana

It’s always interesting to compare the digital visions of new colors on the original photos with the actual photos of final color applied. One aspect of this home is the architectural detail you can see, like the inlay millwork, finials, and other details. I don’t promise exact replicas, considering the usual digital vs actual, but I—and clients—am always happy to see results like this! It’s not the first or only time for such results.

A Dramatic"Before-and-After" View in Maryland

Using the “Before” photo provided by the client, we made digital repairs to the building as partof the color design process. Gallery view at right shows some details of the client’s final color selections. I did create a few different color versions for them.

A Large House in PA with Many Versions of Colors

The owners asked to see many versions on the pathway to their final color selections. Can you spot some of the subtle differences?

New Possibilities for a "Transitional" Colonial Home

The original color was blue, but the owners were interested in seeing alternate blues in addition to other colors. Note: the fence rails and deck also received color attention. Cornerboards on the building show here in different color styles also.

Large Co-Housing Condo Buildings in Cambridge, MA

The group of condo owners asked for two very different color schemes, one of which being similar, but not identical, to what they already had.

Avoid Frustration + Enjoy the Process

Think about it—selecting colors is personal!

  • You love the new body color but want to see it with a variation in different trim or other “accent” colors. That’s a whole new look, and you can see it with DCP™.
  • How many times have you agonized over color selections? Even for a smaller building, the exterior projects are big ones!
  • Whether you are “local” or “Long-Distance,” I really love this process. Clients love it, also.
  • From simple style to a lot of detail; from cottage to castle…each project enjoys the same process and level of attention.
